EXAMINING & UNDERSTANDING THE CAUSES
with Debra Mulnick RN, E-RYT500

Sunday January 24th, 2010 10am-1pm

Muse Yoga Studio

1317 West Jefferson Street, Boise

"If yoga is to be welcomed into the healing repertoire of medicine, then in addition to demonstrating its benefits, it is incumbent upon the Yoga community to estimate its liabilities,

and determine, to the extent possible, how to "do no harm."

- Dr Lauren Fishman MD, Ellen Saltonstall, RYT.

Join in a dialogue of yoga teachers from a range of traditions, physical therapists, serious yoga students and/or other interested health care providers. Together we will examine recently published articles on yoga injuries.

Topics for discussion will include:

1. Where in the body the most common injuries occur

2. Most commonly recognized causes of yoga injuries

3. Review categories of asanas consisting of individual poses,

and the highly specific injuries with which they have been linked.
