WOMEN EVOLVING CULTURE
In 2007 a small group of women committed to pioneering a new stage of human culture identified “10 Challenges of a Liberated Woman” - obstacles that face a woman who wants to create a better future. Imagine exploring women’s experience from a perspective that is infinitely greater than the merely personal orientation we are accustomed to. We rarely think about what it means to change in terms of seeing ourselves as an expression of cultural structures (conditioning arising out of the culture, place and time in history we come from). To the extent our behavior is driven by conditioning, we aren’t freely choosing… certainly not an acceptable position for “liberated women!” By bringing light to how cultural structures operate in our lives, we have infinite potential to intentionally choose our expression - which is how we activate our potential to bring change in the world. The women at MUSE have joined with women all over the world to explore these crucial questions.
If you believe women have the power to change the world…
If you are excited about being the change the world so desperately needs…
Please join us and other women willing to take full responsibility
for our lives and potential
for creating a different world -
a better future!

Healing Trauma in the Body
* Wednesdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
* Starting October 13th,2010
* The Muse Building
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) sufferers do not have the same healing response to holistic or medical health care as the unaffected population. The compromised healing response is in due part to unanticipated difficulties triggered by the treatment. All too often, well-meaning Health Care Professionals unintentionally further traumatize clients who have PTSD. It further complicates the healing process when clients themselves are unaware they have PTSD and/or are unaware of its far reaching affects on present day health.
This 120 hour advanced program is designed for health care professionals whose practice involves touching and/or treatment of the Body and who are interested in pursuing effective treatment for PTSD and the physical illnesses that arise from this anxiety disorder. Although primary designed holistic health care and touch therapists, other professionals including nurses, counselors, life coaches and Yoga & Movement instructors will find the training very beneficial.
Participants will learn:
- How to identify when PTSD is complicating the healing process
- How to assess the present day impact of PTSD on the client's current functioning and their relationship to their health and body
- How to create safe, consistent and effective treatment
- Psychological defenses and appropriate boundaries
- How to effectively use Breath Therapy for anxiety
- How to treat the sensory and affect of "Traumatic Body Memory"
- Effective co-treatment strategies
- Appropriate and safe termination process
About Brandie:

She has been in full time practice of Asian Bodywork Therapy, specializing in PTSD and other anxiety disorders since 1985.
